One of my 6 quakes or so since I moved to LA, post-empty nest 10 years ago, was witnessed and reacted to at the same time as the local TV morning news team I was watching. While my bed wobbled and bucked like Linda Blair's in The Exorcist, the TV newspersons' eyes got really big and they leapt under their anchor desks for safety. Quite the scene. Wouldn't wanna make a habit of it.
To a West Coast dweller such as myself (though not a Californian, where they really rock and roll), 4.8 is a wee shiver. Count your blessings. 💖 Glad all are safe.
I am constantly beset upon by fucking iPad guilt machines of ruin!
Are earthquakes more chill when they happen in Los Angeles? My heart is still racing 2.5 hours later…
