My 3 year old's current bedtime routine is two books, two songs, "stay for a few minutes," "hold my hand," (note: hand holding can SOMETIMES happen concurrently with "stay for a few minutes," only after intense negotiation), multiple exploding fist bumps and - newly added, and hilariously appropriate for this theme - a firm handshake.
