Best description of last night and of JDV I have read today. He is the definition of the banality of evil!!! I hope you are putting this on Instagram as I want to repost it a zillion times. Thank you for your voice. It’s so important.

OMG, thank you - this validated and expressed everything I was feeling this morning. I woke up feeling soiled, triggered, and disgruntled by that smug, self-satisfied performance.

God bless Tim Walz for his grace and patience under an onslaught of the Trumpian cray cray. The whole thing reminded of all the times I foolishly felt compelled to try to speak sense to the nonsense of smarmy narcissitic mediocrities exactly like JD. Tim's "Am I taking crazy pills?!" face last night is our collective disbelief that it's 2024, and we are still saddled with these self-absorbed, heinous losers.

I am mystified that anyone believes the nonsense spewed by he and his boss, reiterating the same old dangerous lies until people start believing them. I fervently hope Americans wise up and send them to the curb in November!

"The rage I feel" is a little different than yours, Bess, having lived in MN for 30 years, back in the day, and am all too familiar with how the docile "Minnesota Nice" thing works, and where it works best, which is not while standing next to Father Fascism on an auditorium stage.

My rage is directed at whoever told Tim Walz that it would be unwise to use the word "weird" again -- only the one word that catapulted him to this position in the first place -- and unwise to broach the topic of the plight of Springfield's migrants.

I'll never understand why it is that I can prepare a better debate strategy or manage a better Dodgers game from my sofa, but .... I assure you I could.

And yet the NY Times writers voted thirteen to three that he won the debate. Bess, you are right on! You are a good judge of character.. The Times people chose smoothness over facts and knowledge. Vance is a typical bullshit artist.

My rage could also lift a car. My neighbors likely were disturbed by the blood curdling scream I let loose mid-debate and resigned to go to bed.

While you were lifting cars with your rage, I was enjoying James Hunter and the glorious Bonnie Raitt in concert. I believe I got the better deal. It mystifies me why anyone watches those things. Have a nap and feel better, Bess.
