Absolutely amazing writing (no surprise there!). I'm gentile, but every word resounded in my heart. It's what I've tried to get my cousin, a converted Muslim, to understand as he posts Palestine propaganda. It's humanity. That has to be THE line. Humanity.
Bibi Netanyahu is a horrible man who only knows the sledgehammer. You express my thoughts exactly. Only heartless people want perpetual war and loathing.
It’s like you took all of the jumbled thoughts, worries and questions in my brain and turned them into insightful, meaningful prose. Plus Bloomingdales. Thank you.
Thank you. This bubbe, torn and desolate over the choices you have articulated, thank you for the humanity of your writing. Now I will go make a land acknowledgement (Canada) and take minutes for my shul's social justice committee, where we can not, will not, discuss all that you wrote. We are too divided.
Yes! Why didn't I think of that. Thank you. Until we all see each other as human, this will continue. This may be your best piece of writing (and I love your book so that's saying a lot).
I read the last word “ceasefire”. That’s,in fact, the only word in your piece I disagree with. You are painfully naive if you think that will lead to a better outcome. You can’t make peace with people who want you dead as a matter of dogma.
This. Exactly this, every single word. Thank you for writing it.
Thanks, Bess. Yes, yes, 1000 times yes.

Please share it with him.

Yes. Yes. Yss.
Thank you for this, especially your last line -- "Release the hostages. Ceasefire" -- what I wish I heard at every rally.
These are the words I can't express remotely as well, thank you.

I want this blasted through the rooftops, from beginning to end. I am so moved by your words during this awful situation. Thank you.
